Hey, It's Heather!
I’m the founder of Heather’s Dog School. We can’t wait to help you train your dog so that you can have a great life together! You got a dog to be a companion and part of the family, but sometimes dogs come with behavior that can make home life challenging. Dogs naturally bark, dig, chew stuff up, pee anywhere, pull on the leash and get distracted by all things outdoors and it’s like they have no ears at all!
Modern life has changed a dog’s life from the freedom of the outdoors and roaming the neighborhood to a life at home, behind a fence and at the end of a leash. And everything that comes naturally to them might be fine outdoors, but isn’t necessarily what you want in your house. But dogs are great at fitting in and becoming great household pets when you learn to speak their language and communicate in a way that makes sense to them. When you learn how to speak dog, they are glad to listen!
And that’s what we’re here to do! Get your dog to listen and be that great family pet you’ve always wanted.

Heather provides detailed instruction videos with plenty of opportunities to watch her train her dogs on the lesson you are on. I have even used some of the exercises to help fill in some gaps I had with my older dog, and it has carried over quite noticeably and quickly when we practice on agility equipment at home, at practice, or when trialing.

I started out with puppy training and am now doing agility with my 1 1/2 year old dog.,could not be happier with the results.Heather has been fantastic as an instructor and has helped any time I have asked. She has a nice indoor facility so weather is not an issue and can't wait to start on the outdoor course as soon as weather permits. Well worth every minuet I spend there

I have enjoyed learning from Heather. Sometimes it is hard to see the little building blocks until they start to take shape but it was so worth the effort. I love going to class and so does Chico.

She creates challenging agility sequences to help me work on my handling and has taught me several new handling techniques for my agility toolbox. She is very attentive and has helpful tips, as well as exercises to practice at home. Classes are always so much fun for both human and dog. She even helped my dog overcome her issues with the teeter totter!
